Comic Con fun!

This weekend sees two comic con events within the U.K, being held at Newcastle, and in Birmingham.

The first is the MCM Birmingham Comic Con. Being held at the NEC in Birmingham, and is open on both days this weekend, the 19th and 20th. Expect all the fun of MCM events, with a range of comic book artists, actors and voice over stars, and stalls for the selling of all your favourite comic and film items! Not to mention the cos-play area, live robots, and mcm e-sports.

But you need to hurry if you would like tickets to this weekend! The priority Saturday, priority weekend, and Saturday general entry tickets had sold out online at the time we write this post (Friday morning). Tickets listed as still available are Sunday general entry, and Sunday priority tickets.

General entry Sunday tickets – £11.00 each

Priority entry Sunday tickets – £16.00 each. (Plus admin fees of £1.00 per ticket for all ticket types.)

Two children aged 5 years or under can get in with one paying adult during the priority entry before 11am, or two children aged under 10 years or under can get in with one paying adult after 11am.

The second event this weekend is the Film and Comic Con in Newcastle. Taking place in the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle on both days, 19th and 20th.

Opening times is 9am to 6pm both days, with general entry from 11am.

Guests include stars from Red Dwarf, Star Trek, Stargate, Star Wars and Games of Thrones. With cos-play events and guests, gaming areas, film and game guests, autographs, photographs and merchandise it’s bound to be a fun weekend!

Ticket prices –

Weekend early entry pass for both days – £28.00

Weekend standard entry for both days – £14.00

Early entry Saturday or Sunday – £15.00

Standard entry Saturday or Sunday – £8.00

Family one day entry ticket – £20.00

Children aged 4 years to 12 years – £4.00

Children under 4 years – Free entry.

Photo sessions priced between £10 – £15 per guest.
