How to order.

Every build is just as important to us, and we know it will be to you too! That’s why the full suit builds are custom-made, made-to-order.

To get the best out of your custom-made costume build we recommend taking the following steps :

  1. Get in touch with us, Bespoke Fantasy Costumes. You can do this through this website, or through e-mail : bespokefantasycostumes2016@outlook.com. Whilst we appreciate and love our fans on Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites, we have found the quickest way to contact us is directly through the site or by e-mail. (Got to love the gremlin notifications and ‘others’ boxes on those sites!) So for your all important orders, e-mail or contact this website directly.
  2. The details we will need first are – Your name, your location (for working out courier costs for the end of the build), and your contact details. We will also need to know the character or theme you are looking for, and if this build is for a special occasion, the date it’s needed for. Please be aware, that due to every build being made from scratch to your requirements, we ask that you order at least 8 weeks before your chosen event. This allows time for the build, delivery, and for you, the client to wear your build before the event itself. For ready made items, or accessories the time scales will be less than eight weeks. However, stock levels, and when we can dispatch will be confirmed at step 3. The more notice the better for any orders, especially if it is for a special event!
  3. Bespoke Fantasy Costumes will then get in touch with you, to discuss your ideas. It’s at this stage we will provide a quote for the price and the courier, if it isn’t already a character at a set price from our website or builds. For ready made items and accessories it is at this stage we will confirm your order, item availability, and availability to deliver by any specific date you have listed.
  4. Measurements will then be required. These will vary depending on the build and character, but for a full armour suit, please be expected to provide details of :
  • Your height
  • Waist size
  • Hip size
  • Chest size
  • Whether a male or female version of the character is required
  • You might also be asked for : Your neck size (for any full mask or neck pieces) , your thigh measurements (for leg armour), your calf measurements (again for leg armour), as well as the measurements of your forearms and upper arms (for arm armour pieces).

Whilst these may seem like a lot of measurements initially, this is to ensure the best fit for you once the build is complete. By providing measurements, we can take away the worries of the costume being too baggy in some places, or too tight or revealing in others. (Measurements will obviously not be needed for most accessories or ready-made items. For ready-made items please check your own sizes against those listed with the product.)

5. Once all details have been agreed, the deposit will be requested. As these are custom-made builds, the deposit is non-refundable once all the above details in steps 1-4 have been agreed. The total balance will be due before the costume is to be sent by courier. No orders will be sent out until the full balance has been received and cleared into our banking systems.

Ready-made and accessory orders will require full payment as soon as possible. Your order will not be processed without full payment. Delays in payment could affect your dispatch times for your order, that could then affect your delivery date. Any unpaid orders for read-made items or accessories not paid within 7 days will be cancelled from our order books.

6. As these are custom builds, we will provide you with progress communication throughout the build. This may include images of your build in progress, and / or communication to let you know where we have progressed to. With every order, there is the chance to customize with colours, finishes and additional accessory pieces. These will be discussed with you during steps 1-4, and we will provide updates of when these customized steps take place.

Ready-made items and accessories will not require this step.

7. Once the costume is finished we will provide full length photos of the costume. The costume can then either be delivered to you using a tracked and signed for courier service, or (depending on your location) we can arrange for a personalised fitting and collection of the costume. For some character types, this is recommended to ensure the best fit, and to make sure the client knows how to work all the accessories provided.

Ready-made items and accessories will not require this step.

8. Client will receive their order, either from the courier, or after the fitting service.

For all orders we will contact the client on the day the item is dispatched from us. We will confirm the courier used, the delivery service used, and any tracking numbers.

9. We know that the custom builds are investment pieces, and that’s why we are also here for replacement parts, adjustments or any needed t.l.c to your costume. Please get in touch, and we can discuss replacement parts etc, to ensure your build meets your requirements.
